The Libyan Muay Boran team returned home with ten shining medals after an honorable participation in the first African Muay Boran Championship for clubs and national teams, held in Tunis.
Libyan champions achieved impressive results in various weight classes, securing eight gold medals, two silver medals, and two silver necklaces.
Mustafa Abliblou was crowned with the first gold medal for Libya in the championship, followed by professional athlete Abdel Moneim Al-Boseifi who won gold in the 75 kg weight class. Athlete Omar Buhawiya also shined, winning the gold medal in the 67 kg weight class.
In a gesture of appreciation, the President of the African Muay Boran Federation, Mohamed Rahmon, was awarded the Medal of Appreciation on the sidelines of the championship, in recognition of his efforts in developing the sport. Captain Ahmed Zidan, head of the Libyan team’s delegation, was also honored with the “Fighter’s Shield” in recognition of his prominent role in leading the team and achieving this sporting achievement.
