the Illegal Immigration Control Agency conducted a security operation in Sabha on Saturday, resulting in the apprehension of 30 African migrants. The targeted raid, focusing on known migrant gathering points, was executed under the direct orders of Major General Adel Abdulaziz Omar, head of the agency.
The operation, launched in the early hours of the morning, the agency’s forces moved swiftly to detain individuals of various African nationalities., legal proceedings were immediately initiated, and the migrants were transferred to the agency’s branch in Sebha for processing and further investigation.
This operation is a sustained campaign by the agency to address the persistent issue of illegal immigration, a key factor in regional security and stability. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to implementing comprehensive security strategies aimed at curbing unlawful activities and mitigating their detrimental effects on the community.
