Al-Ahly B. achieved a 5-0 victory over their visitors, Al-Mahdiya, in a match on Tuesday evening at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium, at the end of the fourth round of Group 2 of the Libyan Premier League.
Sohaib Ben Sliman opened the scoring for Al-Ahly in the 13th minute, before, Palestinian player, Ziad Ghanbar added the second goal in the 54th- minute. Fadel Salameh bagged a brace in the 63rd and 73rd minutes, while the professional player Gabriel Arok concluded the goal festival with the fifth goal
With this victory, Al-Ahly Benghazi topped Group 2 with 10 points, while Al-Mahdiya remained at the bottom with only one point.
In another match, Al-Hilal managed to overturn a deficit against their hosts, Al-Andalus, with a thrilling 3-1 victory.
Al-Andalus scored first through Mauritanian player Saied Bashir in the 16th minute before Faisal Al-Badri equalized for Al-Hilal in the 36th minute. In the second half, Hamy Al-Tanji strengthened Al-Hilal’s lead in the 59th minute, before Azu Al-Marimy completed the scoring in the fifth minute of added time.
With this victory, Al-Hilal now has 9 points, placing them in second place, while Al-Andalus’s points remained at 5, placing them in fifth place.
