In an affirmation of the right of all citizens to participate in the political process, the High National Election Commission stressed the importance of integrating people with disabilities into the electoral process and giving them the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of the country.
This affirmation came with the approaching date for the launch of the municipal council elections – the second group for 2025, and the world’s celebration of World Braille Day, which falls on the fourth of January.
The Commission considered this occasion a reminder of the need to empower people with disabilities to effectively participate in decision-making, by ensuring access to electoral information and providing the necessary facilities to exercise their right to vote.
