Dbeibah at the Energy Summit: 10 Oil Fields Return to Operation and Increased Production

The GNU Prime Minister, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, emphasized in his speech during the opening of the Libya Energy and Economy Summit today, Saturday, the government’s efforts to support the oil sector and increase production.
Dbeibah announced the return of 10 oil fields to operation after being offline between 2021 and 2024, increasing production to 69,000 barrels daily
He also highlighted the government’s cooperation with the National Oil Corporation and the Ministry of Oil to increase Libya’s oil production and reserves by offering 22 new exploration blocks to leading foreign companies.
It is worth noting that the Energy and Economy Summit kicked off this morning in Tripoli with the participation of 15 countries and OPEC, and representatives from global and local companies. The event will continue for Saturday and Sunday.
