Libya’s sporting elite gathered to celebrate the Libyan Golden Awards for Sporting Excellence 2024-2025, recognizing the outstanding athletes and organizations who made their mark during the past season.
Football Stars Take Center Stage
• Best Player: Ali Salama, captain of the national team and Al-Nasr club, was crowned Best Player in the Libyan League for his exceptional performance and contribution to his team’s achievements.
• Best Goalkeeper: Mohamed Nashnoush, goalkeeper for Al-Ahly Tripoli and former national team player, received the Best Goalkeeper award for outstanding saves and contributions.
• Best Defender: Ali Youssef, former professional and Al-Ahly Benghazi player, claimed the Best Defender award.
• Best Midfielder: Faisal Al-Badri, national team and Al-Hilal club player, won the Best Midfielder award.
• Best Striker: Al-Jazouri, current Al-Ahly Tripoli player, secured the Best Striker award.
• Best Young Player: Al-Shuraimi, Al-Suwaihli player, received the award for Best Young Player.
• Youngest Player: Sobhi Al-Mabrouk was honored as the youngest player in the Libyan Premier League.
• Best Coach: Osama Al-Hamadi, coach of Al-Nasr, was named Best Coach after leading his team to win the league title.

• Best Sports Federation: The Libyan Volleyball Federation was chosen as the Best Sports Federation.
• Best Basketball Player: Mohamed Al-Saadi was crowned Best Basketball Player.
