Migrants Voluntarily Return to Egypt through Imsa’ed Border Crossing

The
Directorate For Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) at the Ministry of Interior announced the repatriation of a group of irregular migrants to Egypt through the Imsa’ed land border crossing. This was done following their desire to voluntarily return to their home country.
The Ministry confirmed that this operation comes within the framework of joint regional cooperation to ensure the safe and legal return of migrants. It also stressed its commitment to protecting human rights and implementing relevant international agreements.
