The 21st edition of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival concluded after seven days of events that saw wide participation from various Arab and African countries. The festival witnessed a prominent presence of poets, critics, and media professionals.
notable participation in this edition was the reading by Libyan poet Fatima Miftah of her moving poem “A Handful of Sand,” which addressed profound human suffering in a unique and symbolic style.
Along with poetry readings, the festival included various cultural events, such as a book signing corner for new poetry collections, the announcement of 12 winners of the Golden Rhymes Award in its third edition, and an intellectual seminar titled “Arabic Poetry: From Stasis to Transformation.”
