The Tripoli Criminal Court has convicted three defendants for their involvement in a criminal gang specializing in smuggling illegal migrants.
The Public Prosecution charged the defendants with transporting and concealing migrants in harsh living conditions that led to the death of some of them.
The court sentenced two defendants to 13 years in prison each, while the third defendant was sentenced to 15 years.
The court also fined the three defendants 10,000 dinars and decided to deprive them of their civil rights.
