The Libyan national basketball team has begun a training camp in Egypt today, Thursday, in preparation for the second window of the “AfroBasket” qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations finals scheduled to be held in Angola in 2025.
The team’s delegation traveled to Cairo without the Al-Ahly Tripoli players included in the roster, due to their participation in the Dubai International Club Championship.
The team had concluded an internal training camp in Tripoli that lasted for ten days under the leadership of Lebanese coach Fouad Abu Shaqra, during which the technical staff focused on raising the players’ physical and tactical levels.
In a related context, the African Basketball Federation announced that Libya has been granted the right to host the matches of the second window of the qualifiers, scheduled to be held from February 21 to 23.
