Women from across Libya gathered in Tripoli at a meeting of the National Council of Women, held at the High National Elections Commission. HoR member Naeema Dalf joined Fawzia Al-Sharif, President of the National Council, Mufida Khalil, Vice President for the Western Region, and other legal professionals and civil society activists at the event.
Dalf highlighted the power of women coming together under the Council’s motto of “Giving, Reconciliation, Loyalty,” spanning all regions of Libya, to uplift women and encourage their participation as both voters and candidates. She further acknowledged the House of Representatives’ role in enacting and revising electoral legislation to facilitate transparent elections and guide Libya toward stability.
