Malta is preparing to host a significant event in the energy world, as it is scheduled to witness a Libyan-French summit in mid-May, bringing together major energy companies from both countries.
An official source at the National Oil Corporation revealed, in an exclusive statement to the Almanassa, the wide participation of Libyan companies in this event, numbering about 26 companies in the oil and gas sector such as “Akakus Oil Operations Company,” “Al-Waha Oil Company,” and “Arabian Gulf Oil Company,” in addition to other companies affiliated with the National Oil Corporation and companies from the private sector.
On the French side, a large group of leading companies in the energy field is participating in the summit, in addition to European companies in the oil and gas sector.
This summit aims to discuss ways to develop existing oil and gas projects in Libya and explore new investment opportunities in the sector. Future exploration projects, which the National Oil Corporation, in cooperation with the National Unity Government, plans to launch through tenders, will also be discussed during the summit.
