The acting head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Libyan Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, held a meeting with the Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaya Mohsin Al-Zindani, on the sidelines of the preparatory meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab League member. This meeting was held in preparation for the extraordinary Arab Summit at the leadership level, scheduled to take place on Tuesday in Cairo.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Libya and Yemen in various fields, as well as exchanged views on current regional and international developments, with a particular focus on the humanitarian and political situation in Gaza Strip. The two ministers emphatically rejected any attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from their land, stressing the importance of enhancing joint Arab efforts to support the Palestinian cause and work towards achieving stability in the region. They also emphasized the necessity of supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to establish an independent state, reaffirming their full commitment to strengthening Arab solidarity in the face of the shared challenges confronting the Arab nation
