Engineer Masoud Suleiman, the acting Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), discussed with Martin Longden, the British Ambassador to Libya, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the energy sector on the sidelines of the exploration licensing round recently launched by the NOC.
The meeting, held at the NOC headquarters in Tripoli, reviewed potential areas of cooperation across various energy domains, including exploration, production, technology, and knowledge exchange.
During the meeting, the British Ambassador affirmed his country’s support for the NOC in its efforts to develop the Libyan oil sector and achieve sustainability in this vital industry.
Longden indicated that Britain attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with Libya in the energy field and is ready to provide the necessary support to the NOC to achieve its objectives.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the exploration licensing round, launched by the NOC the previous evening, which garnered widespread interest from major global oil companies, as well as heads and members of diplomatic missions in Libya.
