The Minister of Transportation in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, received a high-level delegation from the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, headed by Director-General Fabio Nicolai, to discuss ways to enhance technical cooperation between the two countries in the civil aviation sector.
The meeting, held in Tripoli, addressed enhancing the readiness of the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority to receive European and international audit teams, with the aim of meeting the necessary requirements to lift the air embargo imposed on Libya.
During the meeting, the Italian delegation affirmed their country’s commitment to providing the necessary technical support to Libya in this vital field, highlighting the importance of joint cooperation to achieve the desired goals.
