In a field tour, the General Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, inspected the progress of several strategic projects in Benghazi to improve infrastructure and drive development in the city.
Marshal Haftar began his tour by visiting the Fish Market, where he met with citizens and engaged in conversation in a distinctive Ramadan atmosphere. He received a warm welcome from the city’s youth, who gathered to greet him.
The tour included a detailed follow-up on the Benghazi Seaport expansion project, which aims to increase the port’s capacity and develop its essential facilities, thereby enhancing maritime trade. The General Commander also reviewed the work progress on the Sports City Bridge and Tripoli Road Bridge projects, which serve as vital arteries connecting various areas of Benghazi.
This inspection visit reflects Marshal Haftar’s direct interest in monitoring the progress of vital projects and verifying their adherence to the established timeline while emphasizing the necessity of implementing them according to the highest technical standards to ensure sustainable development and infrastructure improvement in the city.
