The Women’s Support Unit at the High National Elections Commission extended its congratulations to Libyan women and women worldwide on International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8th each year.
The unit affirmed in its statement its firm commitment to continue supporting Libyan women in their journey towards achieving their electoral rights, whether through candidacy or voting, and to consolidate a culture of active participation to move forward towards building a stable and prosperous democratic state.
In this context, the unit called on Libyan women to actively participate in the municipal council elections currently being held in several municipalities, praising the large turnout shown by Libyan women in previous elections, which reflects their deep belief in their vital role in society.
The unit concluded its statement by expressing its hope that Libya will remain a safe and prosperous homeland, built by the efforts of its sons and daughters, to achieve progress, prosperity, and a bright future
