The Benghazi Security Directorate, acting on the instructions of Major General Salah Huwaidi, has announced the launch of a comprehensive campaign to register foreign nationals within its jurisdiction, which includes the cities of Benghazi, Tokra, Suluq, Qaminis, and Al-Abyar, to regulate their presence and update the security database.
The directorate called on all public and private sectors, business owners, and foreign workers to go to the Al-Sabri headquarters to obtain a security registration card and fill out the necessary forms specifying their locations and reasons for their presence within a deadline of just one week.
In an official statement, the directorate emphasized the necessity for everyone to comply with providing the required data to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the process, noting that it will conduct a comprehensive survey of all commercial and industrial activities, including companies, workshops, and restaurants, to register foreign workers.
After the deadline expires, intensive security campaigns will be carried out in coordination with the Illegal Immigration Agency, the Municipal Guard Agency, the Criminal Investigation Department, the Passport Investigation Branch, and the Emergency Department to apprehend violators and take the necessary legal measures.
The directorate has also allocated a phone number and an official link to receive reports about unregistered workers to facilitate the process of apprehending violators in cooperation with the competent authorities.
This campaign aims to enhance security and stability in the region, regulate the presence of foreign workers, and combat illegal immigration, contributing to the protection of society and the local economy.
