Walid Al-Lafi, Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs and Chairman of the National Libyan Museum Opening and Activation Committee, held an extensive meeting with a group of Arab and foreign ambassadors to discuss the latest preparations for the National Museum’s scheduled opening in April.
The meeting featured a comprehensive presentation covering various aspects of the project, including the museum’s modern architectural design, the diverse sections it houses, and the efforts made to present a comprehensive panorama of Libyan cultural and historical heritage.
In his speech, Minister Al-Lafi emphasized the strategic importance of the National Museum, not only as a cultural edifice reflecting the ancient Libyan history and national identity but also as an attractive tourist destination for visitors and researchers from around the world.
He pointed out that the museum has been designed and equipped according to the latest international standards, featuring interactive and innovative display technologies that allow visitors a unique and exciting experience in exploring the displayed artifacts and antiquities.
He also stressed the need to enhance international cooperation in the field of cultural heritage protection, considering the National Museum’s opening an important step towards highlighting Libyan heritage on the global stage.
