Libya’s Ministry of Oil and Gas and the National Oil Corporation (NOC) met with Shell’s CEO, Wael Sawan, to explore opportunities for boosting investments in the Libyan oil sector.
The meeting was on the sidelines of the delegation’s participation in the CERAWeek energy conference in Houston, USA. The Libyan delegation included Oil and Gas Minister Khalifa Rajab Abdulsadeq and the NOC’s Acting Chairman, Masoud Suleiman.
Discussions focused on Shell’s potential return to investing in Libya, particularly upstream projects (exploration and production) and downstream projects (refining and distribution). Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation to support sustainable development in Libya’s energy sector.
