Amid intense preparations for the crucial match against Angola, Abdulmola Al-Maghribi, President of the Libyan Football Federation, delivered an impassioned speech to the national team players and technical staff, urging them to “give their all to write a new chapter of Libyan pride”.
Al-Maghribi emphasized the federation’s full support to the team, stating: “The responsibility is collective… We will stand with you in Cameroon to face every challenge. To bring joy to our people, unite Libya, raise our flag high, and let the world hear the voices of our heroes”.
He added: “I want to brag about you in every forum… the goal-scorer, the defender, and the goalkeeper. Lift Libya’s head high and make the world speak of our resilience”.
Promising to leverage all the federation resources for the team’s success, he described the players as “the heart of this battle” and called on veterans to mentor and support the team: “for one-week achievement, You can make Libyans chant your names for six months”.
He concluded fiercely: “I promise Libya’s streets will celebrate you if you secure victory. We are no ordinary team… We are the strongest, the best. You carry the hopes of 8 million hearts. Never forget—you are Libya’s ambassadors to the World Cup”.
