Following extensive upgrades, Al-Wadi Al-Kabir Stadium in Al-Bayda city has received official certification from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), ensuring its compliance with the organization’s global standards.
The renovation efforts included enhancements to the stadium’s facilities and infrastructure, and the installation of a new artificial turf system that aligns with FIFA’s Quality Programme for football pitches.
Additionally, the upgrades increased the stadium’s capacity to accommodate up to 12,000 spectators, making it fully equipped to host international and official matches. This certification marks a step forward in strengthening the city’s sports infrastructure and paves the way for hosting major football events at both continental and international levels.
