The Libyan Attorney General, Counselor Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, issued directives to open an immediate investigation into the leak of secret documents belonging to Libyan security agencies. This follows reports that an individual (S. Sh.) had accessed these documents from the archives of the People’s Security Authority and the External Security Agency in 2011 without obtaining legal authorization.
The Attorney General tasked Al-Radaa force with initiating investigative procedures and verifying the accuracy of these reports. The suspect was interrogated on how he obtained the documents.
As part of the investigations, Al-Radaa carried out a search operation authorized by the Public Prosecution, which resulted in the seizure of official documents related to the work of the Authority and the security agency that were in the suspect’s possession without legal justification.
The contents of the seized documents are currently being documented in preparation for their presentation to the investigative authority, which will then take the necessary legal action.
