Hanna Tetteh, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, held a meeting this morning with Aidar Aganin, the Russian Federation’s Ambassador to Libya, during which they reviewed the progress of the Libyan Advisory Committee and the efforts being made to advance the political process in the country.
During the meeting, Tetteh emphasized the UN’s commitment to continuing close coordination with all Libyan, regional, and international parties to facilitate reaching a consensus on a roadmap leading to inclusive and credible elections.
This meeting comes within the context of international efforts aimed at supporting the political process in Libya, achieving the desired stability, and paving the way for a smooth democratic transition.
