The National Oil Corporation announced last Sunday that the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company has resumed operations at its second methanol plant, following a seven-year shutdown.
In a statement, the corporation explained that the technical teams at Sirte Oil Company are currently continuing maintenance work on the first methanol plant, which includes the installation of reformer tubes and the modernization of the control system. The two plants combined are expected to contribute an additional production capacity of 2,000 metric tons per day.
In its statement, the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation commended the dedicated efforts made by the workers at Sirte Oil Company in completing the maintenance work, emphasizing that these efforts will enhance local industry and support the country’s energy sector.
