Acting Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Masoud Suleiman, chaired an extensive meeting in Tripoli with members of the management committee and heads of affiliated company boards to address the sector’s financial challenges, explore funding mechanisms for ongoing projects, and review obstacles and potential solutions.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Finance’s payroll department, where Suleiman emphasized the importance of coordination between the Corporation and the Ministry to ensure timely salary disbursement for oil sector employees, in line with the modern systems adopted by the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Suleiman praised the efforts of workers in maintaining daily production levels, stressing the need for prior coordination with all relevant parties before scheduling any operational shutdowns related to maintenance at oil fields and refineries.
