A force from the Investigation and Arrests Division of the Criminal Investigation Department successfully apprehended a suspect in Al-Fateh neighborhood of Benghazi. The arrest followed a heavy investigation.
According to the department, the suspect’s location was identified over the past few days. When authorities attempted to arrest him, he showed strong resistance and tried to flee, but the unit’s officers were able to subdue him.
A search of his vehicle uncovered 2 kilograms of cannabis and 1,000 narcotic pills of the Aratan type, all prepared for distribution. The suspect was immediately taken into legal custody to complete the investigation before being referred to the Public Prosecution, in accordance with standard legal procedures.
