Graduation Ceremony Held for New Batch of Libya’s Rapid Intervention Battalion 87 After Advanced Training in Belarus

As part of the Commander-in-Chief’s 2030 vision for Libya’s Armed Forces, and under the directives of Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, a new group of recruits from Rapid Intervention Battalion 87 has graduated after completing over a year of advanced training in the Republic of Belarus.

The graduation ceremony was attended by a high-level delegation from the General Command, including Major General Abdel Salam Al-Hassi, Assistant Chief of Staff of the Land Forces; Major General Jamal Farhat, Director of Training; Colonel Abdel Moneim Atbiqa, Battalion Commander; Colonel Khaled Al-Qabaeli, representing the General Secretariat; and Colonel Al-Mohannad Al-Shaheibi, Commander of Special Forces. Belarusian Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Nomenko Alexander Viktorovich, also attended.

The training covered specialized fields including counterterrorism, sniping, live-fire exercises, and parachute drops, aiming to enhance the battalion’s operational readiness and ability to respond to diverse security challenges.
