In a virtual meeting held under the directive of Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, Mustafa Al-Manea—Head of the Executive Team for Presidential Initiatives and Strategic Projects—met with Henriette von Kaltenborn-Stachau, the World Bank’s Resident Representative, to review key areas of cooperation.
The discussion centered on the implementation of the Libya–World Bank cooperation framework signed in April, and preparations for Libya’s participation in the Bank’s Annual Meetings scheduled for October in Washington.
A major focus of the meeting was the potential reopening of the World Bank’s office in Tripoli, following favorable assessments by Bank teams regarding the city’s security and property conditions.
The dialogue also explored mechanisms to stimulate foreign investment in Libya through the B-READY program, and reviewed the Prime Minister’s initiative to train young Libyan professionals at the World Bank in fields such as economics and public finance.
