On Thursday, Libya’s national karate delegation departed for Egypt to participate in the North African Championship, scheduled to take place from September 27 to 28.
The team comprises 48 athletes selected following Libya’s recent national championship, which served as a qualifying stage for this key regional event.
The men’s squad includes 43 athletes under the supervision of coaches Malik Al-Arfi, Youssef Mazlaa, Abdallah Khmeira, and Jibril Al-Fallah. The women’s team is led by coach Ahmed Kamal and features five athletes.
This championship marks a significant opportunity to assess the national team’s readiness at the regional level and to strengthen Libya’s presence in continental competitions, with hopes of achieving results that reflect the growing development of karate in the country.
