As part of ongoing international efforts to advance Libya’s political process, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Jeremy Brent met with Hanna Tetteh, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), in Tripoli to discuss next steps under the UN-led political roadmap.
In a post on platform X, Brent thanked Tetteh for hosting him and reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to working with Libyan and international partners to help build a secure, unified, and prosperous Libya.
The meeting reflects broader UN and international efforts aimed at steering the Libyan political process toward national consensus and laying the groundwork for lasting stability.
