In preparation for the upcoming World Bank meetings in Washington, scheduled between October 13 and 17, Khaled al-Mabrouk, the Minister of Finance in the Government of National Unity, met with Henriette Kaltenborn, the World Bank’s Resident Representative in Libya.
The meeting primarily focused on discussing ways to enhance the efficiency of financial management and ensure greater transparency in the administration of Libya’s public resources. This initiative falls within the existing partnership framework between Libya and the World Bank Group.
During the session, they reviewed the technical programmes being implemented by the Ministry of Finance, particularly the projects aimed at modernising the governmental financial systems. These include both the Treasury Single Account (TSA) system and the Government Financial Management Information System (GFMIS)
