A delegation from the House of Representatives Diwan (Bureau) is participating in the third Arab Parliamentary Media Forum in Manama, which is being held under the theme: “Parliamentary Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Achieving Credibility and Creating Impact.”
The Libyan delegation is headed by Abdullah Belheeg, the Director of Media Administration and the official spokesperson for the Diwan, alongside several staff members. The three-day forum is organised by the Arab Organisation for Administrative Development, sponsored by the Bahraini Councils of Representatives and Shura, and held in cooperation with the Gulf University, featuring prominent parliamentary and media figures.
Belheeg chaired one of the sessions dedicated to discussing the influence of artificial intelligence on parliamentary media campaigns and its role in shaping discourse and communication mechanisms with the public.
Furthermore, the Head of the Editing, Monitoring, and Relations Department within the Media Administration, Maher Al-Kadiki, presented a working paper titled “Parliamentary Media in Libya: Between Challenges and Opportunities,” during which he reviewed aspects of the Libyan experience in the field of parliamentary media.
Working papers presented by participants on the first day focused on measuring the societal impact of parliamentary media, the potential for its development through AI tools, and exploring the future of this type of media in the Arab region
