The Ministry of Education in the Government of National Unity signed the Joint Annual Plan for the 2025–2026 academic year with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli with the attendance of the Acting Minister of Education, Engineer Ali Al-Abed.
The agreed-upon plan centred on defining programmes and priorities that fully align with the Ministry’s educational strategies, with a specific focus on elevating the quality of education and securing a suitable school environment for students. The terms of this agreement will be activated and implemented through direct coordination with all departments and centres affiliated with the Ministry, and in full partnership with UNICEF, to ensure the achievement of the stipulated educational goals and facilitate access to better education for all students across Libya.
On behalf of the Ministry, the agreement was concluded by the Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Dr. Massouda Al-Aswad, while the organisation was represented in the signing by its representative in Libya, Mohamed Fayadi.
