The International Committee to Break the Siege of Gaza has disclosed details concerning the harassment and assaults directed against the “Global Fleet of Steadfastness”.
The committee confirmed that Israeli Occupation forces employed violence against the fleet’s vessels, deliberately ramming one ship and using water cannons. Furthermore, they alleged that peaceful detainees, representing over 50 nations globally, were treated harshly. The committee stressed that this attack took place in international waters, which constitutes another blatant violation of international law, intended to silence those who dare to confront the genocide in Gaza.
In a separate incident, occupation forces boarded the ship “Florida Anas Al-Sharif” and intentionally disabled its surveillance cameras.
Additionally, Sirine Ghrairi, a Tunisian participant aboard the vessel “Deir Yassin”, issued a distress call after being reportedly abducted by occupation forces while on a humanitarian mission to break the Gaza blockade.
The committee urged the world’s governments to take effective action, noting that populations were already demonstrating angrily in global capitals. It emphasised that the fleet’s objective is to break the siege on Gaza, halt the genocide, and establish a maritime corridor for aid.
