“Pink October” Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Launched in Benghazi

The Directorate of Family and Child Development at the Ministry of Social Affairs announced the start of the national campaign for awareness and early detection of breast cancer, based at Al-Hawari Oncology Hospital in Benghazi. This initiative is part of the activities designated for “Pink October.”
Aynad Al-Faidi, Director of the Family and Child Development Directorate, confirmed that the primary goal of the initiative is to disseminate health awareness among women regarding breast cancer, in addition to facilitating their access to medical examinations in cooperation with Al-Hawari Hospital.
The campaign will provide free screening services and essential health education for participants. This measure encourages women to undergo regular periodic examinations, ensuring that any potential cases are detected in their early stages.
