The goal is to formulate practical solutions and clear visions to strengthen digital protection and empowerment mechanisms for women in the virtual world.
Sponsored by Houriya Al-Tarmal, Minister of State for Women’s Affairs in the Government of National Unity, the first International Scientific Conference has been announced. Titled: “Repercussions and Dimensions of the Criminal Digital Targeting of Women in the Virtual World,” it is scheduled to be held next November.
This international forum aims to open an in-depth scientific and societal dialogue about the challenges women face in the virtual sphere. It also focuses on equipping women with the necessary knowledge about the risks of being targeted via the internet and social media platforms.
The launch ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Libyan House for Science and Culture, was attended by the Minister and the House Director, alongside a group of specialists and those concerned with digital and societal issues.
