The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced the commencement of a phased operational plan for the Ethylene plant, marking its reactivation after a production halt that lasted nearly six months.
The NOC anticipates that the output of final materials, which conform to established quality standards, will begin later this week, as part of efforts to bolster domestic production levels and meet demand across both the Libyan and international markets.
In a related statement posted on its official Facebook page, the Corporation reported that engineering teams from the Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Manufacturing Company have initiated the inaugural stage of the restart process.
This initial phase involved the pumping of naphtha feedstock into the thermal cracking furnaces and the activation of the primary compressor, all executed under a meticulously managed operational plan that strictly adheres to approved safety protocols.
