In the city of Sabha, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, participated in an event marking the 61st anniversary of the founding of the Libyan Police. The celebration, which was held at the People’s Hall, was attended by the Head of the Libyan Government, Osama Hammad, and the Minister of the Interior, Major General Issam Bouzeriba, alongside several military and security service leaders.
During his address, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar confirmed the continuous backing of the Armed Forces for the development of the Libyan police apparatus. He clarified that this support would encompass the training and qualification of personnel, infrastructure improvement, and the establishment of specialised academies and institutes. This pledge is intended to guarantee the readiness of police members to carry out their duties, while he praised the immense efforts exerted by the police in protecting citizens, security, and stability.
