Libyan Interior Minister and Turkish Ambassador Discuss Enhanced Security Cooperation and Police Development

Discussions were held in Tripoli between Libya’s acting Minister of the Interior, Major General Emad Al-Trabelsi, and the Turkish Republic’s ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yılmaz. The meeting focused on consolidating security cooperation and strengthening the ties between the two nations.
Al-Trabelsi received the Turkish delegation, which included not only the ambassador but also Colonel Ferit Yılmaz, the new Interior Ministry advisor at the embassy, and the Third Secretary, Volkan Yamaner, at the Interior Ministry’s headquarters on Wednesday. The talks centred on methods for expanding joint coordination and developing the capabilities and potential of the Libyan police, particularly in the spheres of training and qualification. This engagement underscores a shared commitment to achieving mutual interests and bolstering security and stability across the region.
