Dr. Khalid Makhlouf, President of the Libyan Powerlifting Federation, convened a meeting with the national team delegation before their departure to compete in the 2025 Masters Championship. The major tournament is scheduled to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, between 10 and 19 October.
Libya’s squad for the rigorous international competition is composed of 14 athletes. They face a significant challenge, competing against an elite group that includes world champions in the sport. The team is aiming for distinguished results to elevate Libya’s standing on the international stage.
During the session, Dr. Makhlouf reinforced the Federation’s complete backing for the delegation, expressing his profound pride in the rigorous efforts undertaken by the athletes and commending their honourable representation of the country in global championships.
Following the gathering, the Libyan delegation embarked on their journey, making a transit stop in the Arab Republic of Egypt before their final arrival in South Africa to commence the championship fixtures
