The Misrata Movement Against Settlement issued a statement demanding that authorities proceed with the removal and deportation of all foreigners residing in Libya illegally, strictly according to established legal procedures.
The movement emphasised the imperative to safeguard national sovereignty and protect the local social fabric, viewing the expulsion of any foreigner who entered or remained without legal status as essential.
In addition to the deportation demands, the group called for the clearing of all public squares, open spaces, and roads currently being utilised by irregular migrants.
Clarifying its stance, the Movement stressed the necessity of drawing a clear distinction between legal expatriate workers and undocumented infiltrators.
