The new Italian Military Attaché, Naval Colonel Massimiliano Graziozo, expressed his pleasure upon visiting the city of Benghazi during the reception hosted by the Secretary-General of the General Command, First Lieutenant General Khairy Al-Tamimi, at the General Command headquarters.
He commended the pivotal role played by the General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces in establishing security and stability within the country, describing it as a fundamental pillar supporting regional security in the Mediterranean basin.
The meeting covered the bilateral relations between Libya and Italy and discussed methods for developing cooperation in the military and security fields.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms for exchanging expertise and joint coordination, stressing the importance of continuous communication between the military institutions of both countries, aimed at serving mutual interests and reinforcing stability in the Mediterranean Sea region.
