A recent report published by Canais shed light on the operations of KLN Logistics Group Limited, which is working in Libya in collaboration with the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to advance the Bahr Al-Salam offshore gas field projects.
Al-Manassa, reported on Monday that KLN, which is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, has achieved significant momentum in the WHPA wellhead platform project. This platform is central to Libya’s strategy to develop gas projects intended for eventual export to Europe.
The report noted that the offshore venture, valued at an estimated 10 billion euros in partnership and supervised by the Mellitah Oil & Gas Company, is slated for completion by 2027. The fabrication of the platform’s core structures is complete, encompassing the topside, the jacket (substructure), and accommodation units, primarily intended for gas production, with a combined weight of 20,000 tons.
The platform quoted Marco Oriolo, Chief Executive Officer of Global Energy Projects at KLN Project. Oriolo emphasized that the company is executing complex offshore projects in Libya with an unwavering focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
He stressed KLN’s commitment to delivering the platform according to the high specifications required to support regional energy initiatives.
