Engineer Masoud Suleiman, the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), along with an accompanying delegation, participated in the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2025), a premier global event across the oil, gas, and energy sectors.
In a related context, the NOC Chairman pointed out that the significant interest from international corporations in participating in Libya’s public bidding rounds serves as clear evidence of the sustained confidence and investment appetite among global players regarding opportunities within the Libyan energy sector.
During his address, Suleiman underscored that oil and gas represent the fundamental pillar of Libya’s national income. He unveiled ambitious plans for the Corporation aimed at boosting production levels to satisfy both domestic demand and global needs.
Suleiman also emphasised that the production increase plans will be implemented under the NOC’s commitment to adopting environmentally friendly and sustainable production practices, which include curtailing gas flaring and implementing treatment processes for associated water.
Furthermore, Suleiman took part in a Leadership Roundtable titled “Cooperation, Diversification, and Innovation: Ensuring Global Oil Market Stability,” led by the OPEC Secretary General in partnership with KPMG.
