Libya’s Al-Sweihli team, the African Volleyball Club Champion, is set to commence its journey in the highly anticipated FIVB Club World Championship with a challenging opener. The team will face Italy’s Perugia on December 16 in the city of Belém, Brazil.

The draw placed Al-Sweihli, the sole representative of the African continent, in Group A, alongside global volleyball powerhouses:

This participation marks the first time in Al-Sweihli’s history that they will compete in the Club World Championship. The Libyan side aims to deliver an honourable performance on the global stage, to showcase the development of Libyan volleyball and represent the African continent with distinction.
