The participation of the Libyan House of Representatives members serving in the African Parliament continues at the Sixth Ordinary Session, currently convening in the city of Midrand, South Africa. The parliamentary delegation includes: Yousef Al-Fakhri, Salem Qanan, Abdelkader Yahya, Saleh Qalma, and Asma Al-Khoja.
A significant governance decision concerning the environment was achieved during the session, with the presentation and subsequent adoption of the Model Law on Sustainable Soil Management in Africa. This crucial legislation was put forward by the Committee on Rural Economy, Agriculture, Environment, and Natural Resources.
Concurrently, an in-depth discussion took place regarding the draft Model Law on the Implementation of Decisions by African Human Rights Bodies.
