A joint military force has been established between the Libyan Army and its Chadian counterpart, following direct instructions from the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Staff Saddam Haftar. The Libyan contingent within this force includes units from the Subul al-Salam Battalion.
The objective of this initiative is to enhance security stability across the shared border regions. Efforts will be coordinated between the two armies to monitor and secure vital routes and roads, as well as to protect civilians and critical infrastructure. This initiative falls within the framework of combating brigandage (al-Haraba), which poses a direct threat to the stability of the desert areas.
