The Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) held a meeting with the oil services company NESR to discuss expanding their areas of cooperation across several technical and service sectors. The talks covered how to leverage digital transformation technologies, directional drilling, and techniques aimed at increasing production.
The meeting reviewed the current projects and works being executed by AGOCO and explored the potential for utilising NESR’s technical and human capabilities and expertise. The primary goal of this collaboration is to support AGOCO’s plans to raise production levels and enhance operational performance. Financial aspects related to the joint ventures between the two companies were also discussed.
For his part, the Chairman of the AGOCO Management Committee, Mohamed Bin Shatwan, stressed the importance of encouraging specialised companies and providing them with equal opportunities to contribute to the development of the oil sector, aligning with AGOCO’s goals of improving performance and ensuring sustainability.
In turn, NESR presented an overview of its regional and international activities, including the latest oil technologies it develops through its research centres. The company affirmed its ability to transfer this expertise and technology to the local market to serve AGOCO’s projects in various technical fields.
