Officials from the National Oil Corporation (NOC) met with the Italian company Eni on Monday in Tripoli to discuss the ongoing and planned reconnaissance and exploration programmes within Libya.
The meeting focused on the work completed by Eni throughout 2025, in addition to the proposed plans for the following year, 2026, which cover both onshore and offshore areas. The discussions specifically included seismic surveys, exploratory drilling operations, and geological and geophysical studies.
According to a statement posted by the NOC on Facebook, the meeting was attended by the NOC’s Director of Exploration alongside his counterpart from Eni, along with a number of technicians and experts from both sides.
